How to get an auto loan with no credit?
orangefirefly789 asked:
I have a 75% down payment for the car, but the remaining 25% I would have to get a loan for. It is a person selling the car… not a dealership. My problem is most banks are turning me away because I have no credit established. They say that I have to have a cosigner, but that isn’t an option for me because everyone in my family has really really bad credit. What can I do?

Do they really stick with their low closing cost? Any hidden costs? Seems a bit too good to be true. ($695 to close, 0 points)

Is credit card loan same as home laon and car loan? Has the SOL taken affect by now on her accounts? What is SOL? She is worried and have no money at all to repay her debt. Her family is the only one taking care of her now. Will she be able to to have credit again? She is worried about going to jail. Can you go to jail for having debt in credit card? Thank you so much for the help

Loan and credit advice?
gear jammer asked:
I had car loan 7 months now I can refinance at a lower rate.
But still paying 13%. I want to rebuild my credit.
The new loan I will take I had planed to payoff car in 6 months.
Balance is 15,000 but I put 5,000 down and had planed to pay 1,500 to 3,000 a month to get paid off to aviod the big interest charges.
Bank said I should not pay off so fast may look bad on credit report if take loan of 10,000 and pay off within 6 months.
I was told pay loan down to a few thousand and then just pay normal payment of 250 a month to show on time payments.
But the interest charges make me sick. I want to build credit but at same time not pay sub prime interest. What is best route to pay off with helping credit too.
Once paid off car loan only other revolving acct is a credit card.
I listen to Dave Ramsey and cant wait to be Debt Free.
Should I pay off within 6 months?

Can I refinance my condo with my mortgage being underwater?
js asked:
I bought a condo almost 3 years ago for $170000. I put $19000 down. With the way the market is now I still owe close to if not over $150000 and the condo I believe is worth even less than that.
Right now I struggle every month to make the payment even though I recently rented out the place for $1000 a month. My mortgage and condo fees equal $1300 a month, so I must pay that $300.
I am living in an apartment with my b/f right now and I have to pay him to help with the rent and bills.
I was wondering if I would be able to refinance to lower my monthly rate, as my credit I believe is pretty good. I heard that under the new stimulus plan that I would qualify for a refinance. On the other hand, I just read online that I would have to have at least 10% equity to refinance. Could anyone please help in explaining this?
I forgot to mention that my mortgage is about 50% of my monthly take home pay. I think this might be relevant.
This was not an investment property when I bought it. I lived there for 2 years but found that I was really struggling to pay for it along with my other financial obligations. This is the reason that I decided to rent it out.

Can Garnishment or Freeze of Funds Be Reversed or Stopped by Declaring Bankruptcy?
scpk2000 asked:
Ok, my mom has a creditor that has frozen funds in her savings account that has been harrasing her for payment and we have been trying to get credit counseling for her and now have been told she should just declare bankruptcy. My question is will that stop or reverse the hold of any funds being garnished by the creditor?

Financing a car at the dealership and getting a loan from my credit union same thing?
anomymous asked:
I am 18 and a first time car buyer. But like what my question asked, would financing a car at the dealership same as getting a loan? I am trying to buy a car but last time I tried, I needed a cosigner, but that didn’t work because of his bad credit. Then I tried getting an auto loan at my credit union, Arizona Federal, but that didn’t work since I also needed a cosigner to get the loan. And what I found out was that the loan was a lot cheaper.
So then now. I am trying to get my dad who has good credit to cosign for me, but which one should I go to for him to cosign? Back to the dealership, or to the auto loan and write me that check TO the dealership? OR, are these both the same thing?
I am so new at this, I just started learning about credit scores and now learning about buying a car?! My brain can fill up so much.
