If the goal is to lower medical and insurance costs, and to include everyone, wouldn’t it make more sense to give a high deductible ( $25,000 or more ) insurance to everyone to avoid bankruptcy. With a high deductible, ppl would be more responsible with their doctor visits, and would ask more questions about cost since they’d be paying them.

Lawmakers applauded Obama politely and gave him a respectful hearing, but they challenged his policies openly during a contentious question-and-answer session.

The president, known for his No-drama Obama demeanor, grew testier as the session wore on.

When Georgia congressman Tom Price charged that Obama had repeatedly accused Republicans of offering no ideas and no solutions, Obama shot back, I don’t think I said that.
That should read protesting OPPOSITION to his big liberal spending policies too much.

I really hope this bill doesn’t send the country down the drain but it seems like it will. How can this bill really do anything? WHAT will it do? I need facts, I could care less what your political affiliation is. How will it do these things? Will it solve things? Will it allow possible solutions? Will it really create jobs?

I see yes and no coming from the media and I’d like to just get the good old facts on what this bill will do and whether it really is a wise decision. Is our country going to come out of the economic turndown or will we just end up with more debt than we started with? I have basic overview of macroeconomics, but it would help with more info. I notice that much of the Right has looked towards Sarah Palin – someone who left Wasilla, Alaska 20 million dollars in debt, was for earmarks before she was against it, and the list goes on and on. This woman had to go to 5 colleges just to get a simple Bachelor’s degree. Thunderstruck she didn’t just struggle to get a college education.. Most people who struggle financially don’t have the resources to move FIVE times just for college. If she was a Democrat, you would definitely not be calling it a struggle that people identify with. Apparently, you fall for identity politics quite easily.
