Does anyone know who will give you a auto loan with bad credit?
Living life – one day at a time! asked:
For a car not off their lot…we already found one we want. But a timeshare we had bought didn’t report that we had paid them in full and closed our account, and so it shows that we’ve been delinquent for like a year and 1/2
We are disputing it, but until its fixed our used to be good credit has been flushed down the toilet.
We really need to get another car (well van) because of the business we started and how much equipment we have to haul around, including our kids and 2 dogs. We found a used one for like $8000 (which puts our payments where we want them too, even at like a 20% interested)
But we’ve already been denied by the credit union and Chase bank
And waiting for a reply from wellsfargo (but doesn’t sound promising)..
I don’t know where else you can apply, is there auto only lenders or anything out there?
Thanks!
Doesn’t matter, co-signers are only good if you have little or no credit…not crap credit. (sorry I just went through it all today so I’m still frustrated at the situation…should have gone to freecreditreport.com lol…then we would have known that they never reported paid)
Thanks we will look into Americredit.

Auto loan question – with a credit score of 580, would a co-signer help?
~*Nicole*~ asked:
I deperately need a new car and have no down payment. My credit score is 580 and I have been turned down by the majority of banks, except a few that were thru dealerships. Also, one lender (not a bank) who specialized in bad credit loans offered me a loan of $5k my payments would have been $500/month and the term 12 months! So needless to say I had to turn that down. I have worked hard on getting my credit fixed up, but I’ve done almost all I can do for the time being and nothing is instantaneous when it comes to my score. Right now I am waiting to hear back from a large dealership who transferred my application to their bad credit loans department and they sounded like it may be promising, but I know that the interest rate and terms may not be great. The car salesman told me that I might consider having a co-signer – but awhile back a loan officer told me that he thought co-signers were more for people who dont have enough credit, not those who have bad credit. By what I have heard, my score of 580 definately qualifies me for a bad credit loan, but I could still qualify for a better loan, but either way it would be high interest rates. What should I do? I have considered waiting, but I need a new car ASAP.
the loans I got approved for thru dealerships so far were not enough to buy a car…
