My mom is in the process of filing bankruptcy. In the past couple of months, she was having trouble with rent and bills, therefore she took a couple of cash advances because her credit was in good standing. My question is does she need to pay back these cash advances during bankruptcy?

Can my mom cosign my student loans if she filed for bankruptcy?

I’m not sure if it was last year or the year before last, but one of them my mom filed for bankruptcy and I was wanting to know if she could still cosign my student loans. I’m going with Chase if that helps.
Just FYI, no try FAFSA, or get grants, or Federal loans, or see your financial aid office. I’ve already done all of that. Privet loans are my last option. Ty.

Can Garnishment or Freeze of Funds Be Reversed or Stopped by Declaring Bankruptcy?

Ok, my mom has a creditor that has frozen funds in her savings account that has been harrasing her for payment and we have been trying to get credit counseling for her and now have been told she should just declare bankruptcy. My question is will that stop or reverse the hold of any funds being garnished by the creditor?
